Dear Kinderhaus parents,
With such an exciting week, we are off to an amazing new semester!
Here are our upcoming dates and highlights from this week.
Upcoming dates:
- 8/22 Henry is 3!
- 9/7 Labor Day
- 1st biannual Elternabend will be scheduled for September; please let me know if you have any travel plans before we suggest dates.
Classroom highlights:
- We did some fun painting with q-tips on aluminum foil; new textures and materials are surprising, and allow us to experiment.Â
- Duplos are for building but also for stamping. We dipped duplos in paint, creating pattern play art, and exploring different shapes and color schemes.Â
- As we wrap up the summer, we read about sea animals, and made starfish art using a variety of small decorations.Â
- We read a lot this week and will soon discuss a Show & Tell schedule for children to share their favorite books from home.Â
- Fußball was a huge hit as always, and everyone agreed 2 groups are much more fun than 1 because you get to shoot more goals!
